Joining Alanis Morissette, Tracy Bonham, Patti Rothberg and more in the new wave of female rockers, Leah Andreone stands out in a crowd thanks to her especially agile vocal ability. Andreone really sings -- as opposed to yelling -- hitting higher notes, more difficult and imaginative notes than some of the other younger singers can manage. But as Veiled suggests, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter has yet to develop a distinctive style.
