Leah Andreone
Veiled
RCA

To give you an idea of how quickly this star is rising, Leah Andreone was signed to RCA Records just two days after slipping a demo tape to a customer at the diner where she worked. Her debut album, Veiled, is already generating buzz. New York's powerhouse Z-100 started playing the first single "It's Alright It's OK" three weeks before the album even hit the stores.

Leah Andreone has hopped on the bandwagon of twentysomethings venting their angst against the world, but without the cynicism of Alanis Morissette. Veiled is a mix of real emotions coupled with catchy melodies that really speak to the soul. The singer/songwriter has put into words the essence of everyday feelings. The album doesn't just mourn the end of a relationship but also celebrates the joys of already existing ones. Just like the subject matter, the music bridges simple melodies with beat-heavy anthems of rock. Andreone easily pulls off the sweetest ballads and then turns it up a few notches to an energy-pumping jam without missing a beat. Don't miss this; there are definitely a few hits here.
